The Vanishing of the Bees Documentary

This film  carries an especially important message –  and a clear sense of hope. It is both fascinating and intensely relevant. Around the world, millions of bees are mysteriously disappearing.  The blame falls principally on pesticides, monoculture (ie, the widespread specialisation in single crops), genetic engineering and the world’s changing landscape. This is an extremely worrying phenomena as a third of the food we eat is pollinated by bees. Governments, the film charges, are listening more closely to the producers of chemicals than to beekeepers.
The documentary examines our current agricultural landscape and celebrates the ancient and sacred connection between man and honeybee. Providing viewers with tangible solutions they can apply to their everyday lives.
