The Co-operative North Region Membership team invite you to a day of interactive workshops led by the Permaculture Association of Great Britain (Facebook) along with the Transition Town Movement (Facebook), the Making Local food Work project (Facebook) and other local organisations. There will be four workshops at the event: Keeping bees; Create a sustainable home using Permaculture concepts; a local Permaculture project and how to get involved; and one issue identified by the local Transition group. Following lunch there will also be a networking session to discuss ideas that could be taken forward in your community. Any good ideas coming from discussions, that could have an imact on your community may be considered for the Co-Operative’s small grant scheme.

Description: Whitby Network, in coordination with Scarborough Borough Council recycling services, invite you to bring along your unwanted good quality items and swap them for something FREE! Got a bulky item you can’t transport? Display it on our bulky itemsboard on the day.

The day runs between 12 noon and 3:30pm on Saturday March 6th and we look forward to seeing you and hopefully transforming your unwanted items into something more valuable!

Title: S Harrison: High Stakesby Tesco / Housing Development Plans Exhibition and Public Consultation
Location: Whitby Coliseum
Description: S Harrison, the developers behind the scheme to bring new affordable homes, new extra care facilities, a new Tesco supermarket and filling station to Whitby will be presenting an exhibition of their plans for the land at High Stakesby over two days for local residents to view.
Local people are being invited to have their say before Harrison submits a planning application to Scarborough Borough Council later in the year.
The exhibit is being staged Friday 6th November from 12-7pm
and Saturday 7th November from 10am-1pm
Alternatively if you can’t come to the exhibition but would still like to share your views you can contact the developers directly.
